– To start something with a particular goal or motivation,
intention.
– For example, he set out to become a manager, but
ended up becoming the CEO of the entire company.
● sociopolitical ▶︎社会政治の
– The combination of social and political factors.
Issued that are defined by social and political
characteristics.
● sociocultural ▶︎社会文化の
– A combination of social and political factors.
Sociocultural can also be the interaction between social
and cultural factors. These include norms, traditions
and habits that occur within a population.
● be ambushed ▶︎待ち伏せされる
– To be attacked unexpectedly, perhaps from a concealed
location. “Ambush” can also mean to be confronted suddenly
and unexpectedly.
– For example, the boss ambushed me first thing in the morning
with an evaluation.
