４月のテーマは、「英文法の柱」
👉今年度は「ラジオ英会話」のテーマは英文法のマスターです。
効率的で、本質的な文法を学んで「話せる」英語に近づきましょう。

Lesson 8 基本文型 目的語説明型
👉基本文型 目的語説明型
▶︎基本文型の最後は、「目的語説明型」。文字の通り、「目的語」を「説明」する形です。
会話の場面
登場人物
・ヴィーガンラーメン店のオーナー：キャロリン (Carolyn)
・異星人ゼイトクスを探しているニール・ダウンズ博士 (Dr. Downs)
状況
・ダウンズ博士が、またキャロリンのいるラーメン店にやってきて、まだ捜査を続けているようです…
Opening で

▶︎ Hey, Sensei. Can I get some vegan raman?

▶︎ Sure.

▶︎ Welcome, welcome. Step right up! Hi, everyone. I’m David Evans.
Dialogue で
① Um, not today, thanks.【 not today のニュアンス 】
👉さあ、この not today -「今日は大丈夫です」この言い方ができるかどうかですよね。
英語に慣れると、こういうフレーズが自然に使えるようになると思います。
② I just wanted to check on something.【 just wanted to の意味 】
👉そして、I just wanted to 〜 というフレーズが出てきましたね。
「〜したかっただけなんです」と覚えておきましょう。
▶︎そして、check on 〜「〜に関してチェックする」というわけです。
③ The other day you said you had never seen an alien here.
【 the other day の意味 】
👉さあ、the other day このフレーズは「先日」というフレーズですね。
④ Please don’t get upset. 【 get upset のニュアンス】
👉さあ、get upset – upset ここでは「立腹する」そうしたニュアンスで、使っています。
「そうした状態にならないでくださいよ」というわけですね。
⑤ I don’t need your business. 【 ここでの business の意味 】
👉この business は「ひいき」とか「ご愛顧」の「愛顧」ですね。
「もう来ないでください」というニュアンスで使われていますね。
