👉今年度は「ラジオ英会話」のテーマは英文法のマスターです。
効率的で、本質的な文法を学んで「話せる」英語に近づきましょう。

▶︎英語の修飾に関わるゴールデン・ルール「説明ルール」の学習が始まります。
会話の場面

・ロキシーと父親が待ち合わせしています。父親はその前に大学の頃の友人に会っていたようです。
Opening で

Dialogue で
① Who was that weird man?【 weird の意味 】
👉さあ、ここで出てきた形容詞 weird – これは「奇妙な、変な」という意味で、
strange より、やや強い感触を持っています。しばしば、誰か対象をけなしている感触も
漂っている単語なんですね。ここでは、不信感が、この単語の使用につながっています。
② Yeah, we go way back, Nate and I. 【 we の追っかけ説明 Nate and I 】
👉さあ、we go way back と言った後、その we を Nate and I と追っかけて、その説明を
している形です。
▶︎そして、go way back「昔までさかのぼる」というわけですね。「昔からの友人である」
というニュアンスで使われています。
③ Really nice guy, that Nate.【 リズムよく振り返っていることを示す表現 】
👉 Hey, guys. What’s the nuance of the last sentence, “Really nice guy,
that Nate”?

▶︎ Ah, we use phrases like this when we’re looking back or lost in a memory.

▶︎ Yeah, so that rhythm goes together very well.
“Really nice guy, that Nate.” It’s gotta a bit of nostalgia to it.
