Dialogue で
① So, is he fluent in Japanese?
👉「流暢な」という形容詞は、この fluent という単語です。
実はこの flu あるいは fl で始まる単語の中には、「流れ」のイメージを持つものが
たくさん集まってるんです。
▶︎例えば…
・flood 「洪水」
・flow 「流れ」
・flu 「流行性感冒 – インフルエンザ」
・influence – これは「流れ」が「中に」入っていって「影響」を及ぼす
※そうした様々な単語が集まっています。
単語を部分、部分に分けて考えればかなり有効な勉強の仕方もできます。
