「時表現」の学習
▶︎ 11月号からは「時表現」の学習が始まりました。

👉12月号のテーマは「時表現を極める②」。
「時表現」は「指定ルール」に従って使われます。今週も先週に引き続き、仮定法 の勉強です。
Lesson 17７ 仮定法⑧：仮定法を用いたさまざまな表現

👉私が生まれるはるか前(に)
Dialogue で
① sequence
👉語源的には「後に来るもの」そこから「順序・手順」という
意味が生まれているんです。
② What’s going on?
👉 go on「進んでいく」そこから「どうした事態が進んで行くのか」
というですが、もう理屈は結構です。まとめて覚えてください。
③ I have visual contact.
👉 visual は「視覚の」-「視覚的コンタクトを持ちました」という
意味になります。
④ Which country is it from □?
👉 which country という大きな wh語を用いています。
そして、その後ろは普通の wh語と同じように、疑問文 – is it (from)? と
なっています。もちろん、質問のターゲットは、from の後ろ – ここが
空所(□)になっています。ここを、which country が聞いている – という
わけです。
⑤ What do you mean?
👉これは「真意をたずねる」表現です。まとめて覚えてください。
