秋田県公立高校入試分析（英語）の３回目です。
今回は、第３問を扱いますが、
第３問では、「英文を読んでの質問と自分の考えを答える」問題です。
それでは第３問を見て行きます。
第３問の配点は、
（１）が各３点✖２＝計６点
（２）は４点、なので合計１０点となっています。
第３問
（１）少し長めの英文を読んで質問に答える問題
次は、世界食料デー( World Food Day ) に関する日本人ボランティアグループの取り組みについて書かれた英文です。これを読んで、①、②の問いに対する答えを、それぞれ主語と動詞を含む英文１文で書きなさい。
ー The world has food problems. October 16th is World Food Day and many people
think about them on the day. Around the world, there are a lot of poor and hungry
people. And many of them are children in *Asia and Africa.
ーIn Japan, an event was held for World Food Day by a volunteer group in 2017. In this event, people took pictures of *rice balls and put them on the website of the
group. And then the *supporting companies *donated one hundred yen for each picture to the group. Many people joined this event to help the poor children in
Asia and Africa, and so the group got a lot of money. Now, the money is used to
buy school lunches for them.

①の質問に対する解説・解答
ー What do many people think about on World Food Day?
【解説】
・質問文の意味は、
「たくさんの人々は世界食料デーに何を考えますか。」
という意味です。
※内容読解の問題を解く場合、
特に問題文の長文が長い場合は、
「先に(英語の)質問を読んで」から問題文を読むと、
「何を探して読めばいいのか」が明確になるので
時間が短縮できますよ。
・先に「質問文」を読んでから、
問題文を読むと、
いきなり、「答えになりそうな部分」があります。
“October 16th is World Food Day and many people think about them
on the day.”
文脈からすると、
on the day＝ World Food Day (October 16th)
であることは明らか、
でも、その前に them があります。
→この them は何かな？と思い、前の文を見ると
“The world has food problems.” となります。
→ them が複数形であることからも
them＝ food problems
であることがわかります。
ここを押さえて、
あとは、「質問文」に合わせて
答えの文を作りましょう。
【解答】
質問文：What do many people think about on the World Food Day?
👉答えの文を作ろう！
① 主語 many people を代名詞に
→ they
② 動詞の部分 think about は、
「３単現」でもなく「過去」の文でもないので
→ そのまま think about
③「何を考えるのか」の「何」＝ food problems
なので、think about の後ろに置きましょう。
→ think about food problems
ここからは、正解は
They think about food problems. となります。
※「時」を示す on World Food Day の部分は、全く同じなので
省略してもいいですし、on the day や then などの語句に
代えてもOKです。
②の質問に対する解説・解答
ーHow is the money the group got used to help the poor children in Asia and Africa?
【解説】
・質問文の意味は、
「そのグループが手に入れたお金はアジアやアフリカの貧しい子供たちを
助けるためにどのように使われていますか。」
という意味です。
※質問文が少し難しいので、解説を。
◯主語が “the money the group got” で
→「そのグループが手に入れたお金は」です。
◯動詞の部分が、受け身で “is used” で
→「使われている」です。
◯後半の “to help the poor children 〜” は
「目的を示す不定詞」で
→「アジアやアフリカの貧しい子供たちを助けるために」です。
・お金に使い道に関しては、
問題文の最後に出てきます。
“Now, the money is used to buy school lunches for them.”
この文をそのまま答えとして使えそうです。
【解答】
質問文：How is the money they got used to help 〜？
👉答えの文を作ろう！
① 主語 the money they got を代名詞に
→ it
② 動詞の部分 is used はそのまま
→ is used
③ 最後に「お金の使い道」は、上記の黄色いアンダーラインの
英文から、”to buy school lunches for them.” だとわかるので
そのまま is used の後に置きましょう。
→ is used to buy school lunches for them
※them は「質問文」からも「貧しい子供たち」のことで
あることがわかるので、そのままでOK。
ここから、正解は、
It is used to buy school lunches for them. となります。
※for them は省略してもOKです。
おまけ〜問題文の訳
・世界には食料問題があります。10月16日は世界食料デーでたくさんの人々がその日に食料問題について考えます。世界中に、たくさんの貧しく、飢えた人々がいます。そして、彼らの多くは、アジアやアフリカの子供たちです。
・日本では、2017年にボランティアグループによる世界食料デーのイベントが行われました。このイベントでは、人々はおにぎりの写真を撮り、そのグループのウエブサイトにそれをアップしました。そうすると協賛企業が、そのグループに対して1枚100円を寄付することになっていました。たくさんの人々がアジアやアフリカの貧しい子供達を助けるためにこのイベント参加したので、そのグループはたくさんのお金を集めることができました。今、その寄付金は、彼らへの学校給食を購入するために使われます。
（２）質問に対して自分の考えを答える問題
英語の授業で、休日の過ごし方について話すことになりました。次の質問に対してあなたならどのように答えますか。どちらかの立場に◯を書き、《条件》にしたがって、質問に対するあなたの答えを英文で書きなさい。

《条件》
・文の数は問わないが、15語以上25語以内の英語で書くこと。
・解答用紙の because は語数に含めない。
・符号( , . ? ! ) は語数に含めない。
答え方のポイント
・どちらの方に◯をつけるとしても、
答え方としては、
①好きな理由
「〜で・・・するのが好きだから」という言い方に
なると思います。
→そして、これだけでは語数が足りないので、
②その好きな理由の補助情報
を加えることが必要です。
「①をすることによって、ためになる」とか
「①をみんなで楽しんでいる」などの情報を
加えまましょう。
※文の数の制限はないので、
無理せずに短い英文で表現して行くことも
１つの方法かもしれません。
I like staying at home better に◯をつけた場合
解答例
because – I like playing the guitar at home. My brother teaches me how to play
it. It’s very difficult, but very interesting. (21語)
because – I like drawing a picture at home very much. I enjoy drawing pictures of

※like 〜ing や enjoy 〜ing の形がうまく使えそうですね。

I like going outside better に◯をつけた場合
