● beat around the bush▶︎遠回しに言う
-「薮の周りをたたく」「薮の中に入ってはいかない」つまり
遠回しということ。

● food for thought ▶︎考えるべきこと
– 「思慮の糧」ということで「考えるべきこと」となります。

● be on course
– 「軌道に乗っている、順調に進んでいる」
▶︎be on course for ＋名詞
▶︎be on course to ＋動詞の原形

※win the contract
– ここでの win は他動詞。win the contract で「契約を獲得する」

◎ we are back on course to achieve this year’s sales 〜
– we are back on course【for achieving】this year’s sales 〜
と言い換えることができます。

◎ be headed in the right direction
👉動詞の head には「ある方向に向かう」という意味があります。

◎ be on track (to 動詞の原形〜）
👉 track には、列車の線路、陸上競技場のトラックのことで、
「軌道の乗る」感じのイメージができます。

◎ take off
👉「離陸する」ですから、「物事がうまく行き始める」
ここでは「新車が売れ出す」という意味になります。
※New car sales in Thailand are beginning to take off.

In business, it’s impossible to get everything right all the time.
It’s good to know where there’re problems or areas that need
improvement.

◎ビジネスでは、全てがうまく行くということはなかなかないですよね。
常に問題意識をもって、取り組むことが大切ですね。
