発言のタイプ別おすすめ表現を多数学びます。

◎10月は
▶︎「発言タイプ」ー【さまざまな応答・知識】を勉強します。
「応答」は相手の発言に対するスタンダードな受け答えです。
「知識」はさまざまな「知っているよ」の伝え方。どちらもとっても重要な発言タイプです。

▶︎さまざまなタイプの知識表現がある中で、今回は know を用いた表現を学びましょう。
会話の場面

・絵画教室の講師ボブ (Bob)

状況
・美術館に来た二人が、マティスの絵を見ながら話をしています。
Opening で
David
▶︎ Humm.. I don’t see the connection.
Roza
▶︎ I’m disappointed in your opening today. That opening wasn’t one of a kind.
This is Akino Roza.
David
▶︎ And I’m David Evans. Oh, come on! Roza! Be nice.
Dialogue で
① I can’t believe I’m looking at this painting by Matisse with my own eyes.
【 own は所有格の強調 】
👉 with my own eyes「自分自身の目で」という表現。所有格 my の強調 – それが
my own というわけですね。
② Were you influenced by him, Bob? 【 動詞 influence の意味 】
👉さあ、influence という動詞が出てきましたね。「〜影響を与える」という動詞です。
③ I’ve tried to paint like him, but it’s not so easy. 【 強い表現を否定した場合の意味 】
👉 not so easy – not と「強い」表現 so easy のコンビネーションです。
「それほど簡単ではない」といった意味をもっています。
④ Matisse was one of a kind. 【 one of a kind の意味 】
👉さあ、one of a kind というフレーズが出てきましたね。「特別な・唯一無二の」という
フレーズ。よく使われます。
