発言のタイプ別おすすめ表現を多数学びます。
などへとゆっくり進めていきます。

◎そのために
▶︎７月も６月に引き続き、「発言タイプ」についてで
人をある方向に「動かす」言語活動の②です。

👉指示③ 必要性に基づいた指示
▶︎「〜する必要がある」「やるべきことは〜だけ」と「必要性」に基づき指示を出す
表現を学びましょう。

会話の場面

登場人物

・絵画教室に通うサリー (Sally)
・絵画教室の講師ボブ (Bob)

状況

・油絵の基本を覚えたサリーは、今度は「水彩画」を始めたいとボブに言います。

Opening で

Roza
▶︎ Hey, everyone. This is Akino Roza. Ready for today’s lesson?

David
▶︎ And I’m David Evans. Let’s do our best today. OK?

Dialogue で

① Bob, do you think I’ve become a good oil painter?
【現在完了形のニュアンス】
👉 I’ve become 「今そうである」という所まで含まれて現在完了形の使い方
ですね。

② Sally, you have mastered all the basic techniques.【現在完了形】
👉さあ、ここでも you have mastered と現在完了形が使われていますね。
「今は、君は master している」そうした状況にある、という所まで
意味に含まれています。

③ I was wondering, maybe I should start watercolor painting.
【wonder のニュアンス】
👉さあ、I was wondering – wonder という動詞は、頭の上に大きな？が
浮かんでいる、まあ、そうした状態ですね。
👉そして、watercolor painting – これは「水彩画」という意味ですね。

▶︎ OK, everyone. Let’s practice with some softeners of commands.

David
▶︎ All right. All of these have their core command – “connect to Wi-Fi,”
“enter your password.” But then we accessorize to change the nuance
to something softer. So let’s try a few together. Here we go!
・You need to connect to Wi-Fi first
・You have to enter your password.

Roza
▶︎ OK. Let’s continue.
・What you have to do is to hold down the power button,
Now let’s try this next one without the “to” after the be verb.
・What you have to do is hold the brush like this.
Great.

David
▶︎ Well, let’s keep going.
・You only have to get a set with eight colors.
Let’s try “just” instead of “only” here.
・You just have to get a set with eight colors.
