◎そのために
▶︎今月はまず、「会話の原則」について実例あげて取り上げていきます。

Lesson 14 発言タイプ：あいさつ④ 相手の印象を加える
👉あいさつ④▶︎相手への印象を加える
：儀礼的なあいさつから、会話の「流速」を上げ、本格的な会話に育てる橋渡し
会話の場面
登場人物
・アンドロイドを作ったフランク・N・スタイン博士 (Frank・N・Stein)
・アンドロイドのジーニー (Jeannie) と フランキー (Frankie)
状況
・少し前まではフランキーが、あまりにもジーニーを気にかけていなくて寂しかった
ジーニー。今度はあまりにもフランキーがそばから離れなくて、自分の時間がないと
ジーニーは言います。
Opening で
Roza
▶︎ Hey, everyone. Akino Roza here. Ready for today’s lesson?
David
▶︎ And I’m David Evans. OK, everyone. Let’s get started.
Dialogue で
① Do I?【省略された疑問文】
👉さあ、ここの Do I? という疑問文。もちろん、この Do I? の後には
大きな省略が行われているますよね。Do I look a bit down? という意味です。
② He’s annoying me. 【annoy の意味 】
👉さあ、annoy という動詞が出てきました。この annoy という動詞は
「イライラさせる」というわけです。
③ But I thought you were lonely because he was ignoring me.
【 thought の内容を説明する節 】
👉さあ、この I thought の後ろ – もちろんリポート文ですね。thought の内容を
後ろに置かれた節が説明する形となっていますが、その節が because を含んでいる所
がポイントです。you were lonely because he was ignoring you – これがthought
の説明になっているわけですね。ちょっと後ろが複雑な文ですが、この形しっかり
覚えましょう。
③ It’s very stressful. 【 stress – full 】
👉さあ、stressful「ストレスがたくさん」「ストレスでいっぱい」というわけですね。
-ful がありますからね。

And let’s try one more. This time uses “tie” instead of “jacket.”
