11月のテーマは形容詞・副詞
👉11月からは、形容詞・副詞について勉強をします。
Lesson 153 形容詞もイメージで①：使い分け
・tough -「はね返す」の質感をもったカタさ
・firm -「硬いマットレス：しっかりとして容易に形を変えない」カタさ
・solid -「ギュっと詰まった」カタさ⇨「堅い・しっかりした」につながる

eating steak. Anyway, let’s have a good lesson.
Dialogue で
① How did you know like the Texas barbecue?
👉さあ、How did you like 〜？これは、相手の感想などを聞く
決まり文句の１つですね。しっかりと覚えておきましょう。
② The taste was fine, but it was too tough.
👉さあ、fine というのは、「にごりがない」「スッキリとした」というわけですね。
そうしたイメージの形容詞です。The taste was fine.「問題はなかった」
と言ってるわけですね。そこまで喜んでいる表現ではなさそうですね。
③ My jaw is sore.
👉そして My jaw is sore. この文で出てきた sore – これは「痛みがある」
という形容詞ですね。
④ Chicken tacos sound great.
👉さあ、ここの Chicken tacos sound great. という文 – 説明型オーバー
ラッピングの形ですね。chicken tacos ＝ great に聞こえる、というわけです。
