前置詞の勉強を続けます。

Lesson 121 for のイメージ ①：基本１

👉 for のイメージ▶︎「向かって」という位置関係 – 対象物に向かう

Opening で

Roza
▶︎ Hey, everyone. Akino Roza here. Hey! You’re Chris McVay!
What can I do for you, Mr. McVay?

Chris
▶︎ Ah 〜. Hi, guys. This is not so famous, Chris McVay.
By the way, Roza, how about going for a coffee later?

Roza
▶︎ Ah 〜, sorry, but I can’t.

Dialogue で

① Hi, can you help me?
👉助けが欲しかったら、Can you help me?
もう気軽に使うことができますよね。

② Sure.
👉 Yes. の代わりに、Sure. と言って、答えていますよね。
勢いのある口語表現です。

③ I can’t believe it.
👉そして、I can’t believe it. 「信じられないわ」という表現ですね。
しっかりと覚えておきましょう。

④ How about going for a coffee later, Roza?
👉さあ、ここでは How about 〜？軽い提案を行う表現ですね。
その後ろに動詞 ing形が使われています。非常にですね、この How about 〜？は
使い勝手のよい表現。というのは、後ろに名詞をもってきたり、このように
動詞 ing形をもってきたり、あるいは full sentence をもってきたりすることが、
できる表現だからです。しっかりと口慣らし、してくださいね。

Practice

And today we’re starting, looking at the preposition “with.”
This is a very easy image. It’s just direction towards a target.
OK. So with that in mind, let’s practice.

Roza
▶︎ And remember! Think in English!

Chris
▶︎ Great, Roza. Here we go!
・I’ll pay for your ticket.
I’ll pay … au. oh …. which direction? – ah – for your ticket.
So try that again.
・I’ll pay for your ticket.
One more.
・How about going for a coffee later?

Roza
▶︎ And a couple more examples.
・What can I do for you?
Here again, you have the direction – for you.
What can I do – for you?
And the next one.
・What’s in it for me?

▶︎ OK. Final few.
