前置詞の勉強を続けます。
Lesson 101 among のイメージ

Opening で
Roza
▶︎ I’m hungry. This is Akino Roza.
Chris
▶︎ Hi, guys. Chris McVay here. Well, I don’t care if you’re hungry,
because what I want to know is “Did you notice that I changed my
hairstyle?”
Roza
▶︎ I thought something was different. You look very dashing today.
Chris
▶︎ Let’s get started.
Dialogue で
① I’m sure she’ll be famished.
👉さあ、ここで famished という見慣れない単語が出てきましたね。
これは「はらべこ」という意味です。「飢える」まあ、そうした意味
をもつ動詞 (famish) から、こうした形が出てきました。
② Let’s go to a nearby restaurant.
👉そして、nearby restaurant – これは「付近の」ということですね。
③ There she is, ….
👉 There she is – 何かを発見した時の「決まり文句」のようなもんですね。
この言い方、しっかりと覚えといて下さいね。こうしたことを言いたいことは
日常多々ありますからね。
④ There she is, among the crowds coming through the gate.
👉 そして among の後ろですね。
the crowds coming through the gate というフレーズ、注意して下さい。
まず、crowds「群衆」と言い切ってしまうわけですね。
そして、どういう crowds なのか、というのを coming through the gate
で説明する -「説明ルール：説明は後ろに置く」が作る形です。

very unclear, mixed in among all that.
