Dialogue で
① Why don’t you 〜？
👉ポピュラーなフレーズです。
「〜しませんか」という軽い提案です。
② What‘s so important?
👉wh語が、主語の位置に入った文が使われています。
主語をたずねるwh疑問文は、wh語を主語の場所に置けばすぐにできます。
③ won’t hurt について
Onishi
▶︎So what does “won’t hurt” mean here?
Roza
▶︎Well, basically it means it won’t be a problem, it won’t
be anything negative.
Chris
▶︎That’s right. “Hurt” obviously is negative, right?
But basically this means “it won’t make any difference.
So come on, just do it.”
④ end up V ing 〜
👉end up「結局〜ということになる」という頻繁に使われるフレーズ。
end up の後ろに動詞 ing形 が使われることも注意しましょう。
⑤ such a 〜
👉基本的にこれは「とても」という強調表現です。
