Lesson 6９ 動詞句の説明④：目的を表すto不定詞
▶︎英語は「配置の言葉」
– 語順は「基本文型」と「修飾語順規則」によって決まる。
– Lesson 1 から 9 までは「修飾語順規則」を扱いました。
▶︎Lesson 11 からは Lesson 40までは
「基本文型」の基本を学んできました。
▶︎Lesson 31 から Lesson 53 までは、
節・to不定詞・動詞-ing形・動詞原形・過去分詞の拡張について勉強し、
Lesson 54, 56 では「リポート文の拡張」を学習しました。
▶︎Lesson 57 〜 59 で「命令文」と「there 文」を扱いました。
▶︎７月号からは、「説明ルール」で、
先週は「文の説明」で、今週からは「動詞句の説明」について勉強します。

Dialogue で
① truck
👉日本語でも「トラック」です。イギリス英語では、
lorry と言います。
※工事現場に資材を運んだりするダンプカーは、英語で
dump truck と言います。
② what kind of movie
👉大きなwh語。what だけでなく、what kind of movie と
まとめて、大きなwh語を構成することができます。
③ some kind of action film
👉 この some, 実際にははっきりしない、そうした感触を
伝えるために使われる単語です。
④ at work
👉「仕事中で」というフレーズ。
非常に、しばしば使います。覚えましょう。
⑤ during my lunch break
👉これは「〜の間に」という前置詞です。

◎動詞句の説明④：目的を表すto不定詞
🔴説明ルールを「動詞句」にも使いこなす！
・今回は、to不定詞を説明として後ろに並べます。
※to不定詞の運ぶ意味は動詞句の内容によって変わります。
[1] THey’re here [to film a new movie].
▶︎「ここにいる」の説明なら
「何のためにいるのか」その目的の説明が普通
– だから「目的」として「理解される」
