今までの道のり
▶︎英語は「配置の言葉」
– 語順は「基本文型」と「修飾語順規則」によって決まる。
– Lesson 1 から 9 までは「修飾語順規則」を扱いました。
▶︎Lesson 11 からは Lesson 40までは
「基本文型」の基本を学んできました。
▶︎Lesson 31 から Lesson 53 までは、
節・to不定詞・動詞-ing形・動詞原形・過去分詞の拡張について勉強し、
Lesson 54, 56 では「リポート文の拡張」を学習しました。
▶︎Lesson 57 〜 59 で「命令文」と「there 文」を扱いました。
▶︎７月号からは、「説明ルール」で、
「文の説明」「動詞句の説明」「形容詞＋to不定詞」「名詞の説明」を終了。
▶︎先週で「関係代名詞」が終了し、引き続き「関係副詞」についてです。

Opening で
Roza
▶︎先生は、Sota の話が好きなんだよね。
Hey, everyone. Welcome back! This is Roza Akino.
Hey, Chris, why the serious look?
Chris
▶︎Chris McVay here. Well, I’m afraid that I have some bad news.
Roza
▶︎What?
Chris
▶︎I’m not quitting this program.
Dialogue で
① Why the serious look?
👉非常に端折った、省略が行われた形。
このような形でもいいんだ、ということをしっかりと頭に置いて
おいてください。
※「会話は、分かればいい」そこが原点なんです。
② concentrate on
👉 concentrate「集中する」という動詞です。
そして、その後ろに使われる前置詞は on となります。
– どうしてかというと…
何かにグッと集中するする時、その対象に力がグッとかかってる
感じがしますね。
▶︎ですから、concentrate on あるいは、focus on とも言います。
※そして、もちろん on の後ろは、動詞-ing形です。

Chris
▶︎Roza, I think you know the real reason.

▶︎Chris, the number 3 example is a real story?
Chris
▶︎Well, you know. I often forget what I had for dinner, but I will
never, ever, ever, forget the moment when I proposed to my wife.
I remember all the most important things.

▶︎Ummm, actually, you know, sometimes I don’t remember
what I had for dinner the night before either.

▶︎Ah 〜, even I know. Should we say that?
