Master Business Words of Foreign Origin – complex
🔴 complex「劣等感、複合施設、複雑な」
◎日本語の「〜にコンプレックスを持っている」のコンプレックス(劣等感)は、
⇒ 英語の complex から来ています。
※この complex にはいろいろな意味があります。
[1] 日本語の「コンプレックス」
– inferiority complex：劣等感
– superiority complex：優越感
[2] 名詞としての complex には「複合施設、総合ビル」という意味がある
– apartment complex：アパート、共同住宅
– commercial complex：複合商業施設
– sports and leisure complex：スポーツ・レジャー複合施設
– entertainment complex：複合娯楽施設
[3] 形容詞としての complex は「複雑な」という意味がある
– a complex and difficult problem：複雑で難しい問題
– complex financial risks：複雑な金融リスク
