Lesson 2 語順が大切②：リポート文
▶︎英語は「配置の言葉」- 今回は think のように主語の思考や知識、感情や発言内容などをリポート文
👉動詞句＋節（文の部品)
※これもあくまでも「説明ルール」に従っています。
Opening で
Back welcome, everyone.
語順が大切だね。秋乃ろーざです。
Hi, guys. Chris McVay here. Oh, look!
There’s a UFO in our studio. Oh, NO!

Dialogue で
① look up at
👉 look up の up は「上」-「見上げてごらん」という意味
② Isn’t that a UFO?
👉否定疑問文 -「〜じゃないの？」
③ a UFO
👉UFO の前 (冠詞) は a です。[ju]で母音ではないから。
④ an airplane
👉airplane の前は an – [e] というのは母音ですから。
⑤ on your phone
👉ここの on が出てくるかどうかが問題です。
– この on は何かの機能が、その機械・機器に基づいている、という感じ。
「あなたの phone の機能に基づいて」record it しろ、ということ。
⑥ resemble
👉「〜に似ている」という動詞
A と B が様々な特徴を共有している -そうしたイメージ。
主にビジュアル系(顔が似ている、のような)の単語
dialogue の設定
◎ 高校生の Masaya と Deena は(多分)同級生。

Grammar In Action – “studies” について
Hey, Chris! I have a question. Is there any
difference between “study” and “studies”?
Well, many people would use them, you know,
interchangeably, but I think “study” like “study
is important” refers to the general notion of
studying. Whereas “studies” refers more to
specific subjects. Therefore, it’s in the plural.
