【基本構造】S＋V＋(指定表現)＋比較級 than [比較対象] ・比較級：《基本》原級＋ er 《長い単語》more ＋原級 ※形容詞＋ly の副詞も・than：[比較対象]を明示▶︎「[比較対象]よりも」
(18)フレーズ1	① 比較級＋and＋比較級「ますます…」 ▶︎この表現は get, become などの変化を表す動詞と使われる ② The 比較級A 〜, the 比較級B ….「Aであればあるほど、(より)Bになる」 ▶︎ the がつくのは「A」の度合いが決まれば、「B」の度合いも決まる – お互いにガッチリ縛り合う関係を、「１つに決まるthe」で表現 ※「the＋比較級」を節の最初に置久野は、比例関係を明確化のため
