発言のタイプ別おすすめ表現を多数学びます。

「驚き」「恐れ」「怒り」など、日常頻繁に経験する
基本的な感情表現をマスターし、会話に彩りを添えましょう。

▶︎今回は、恐れを感じた時の表現を学びましょう。

▶︎ And I’m David Evans. There’s lots to do today. So let’s get started.
Dialogue で
① Oh, I just saw a huge centipede on the floor.【 centipede の語源 】
👉さあ、centipede「ムカデ」という単語が出てきましたね。
この centi- 100 あるいは 100分の１ を示す接頭辞ですね。それに足を意味する pede が
くっついて、「足がたくさんの虫」を表しているわけですね。
② Sometimes, they’re venomous. 【venomous と poisonous の違い 】
👉 venomous というのは「有毒の」似た単語で poisonous というのがありますが、
venomous の方は、「毒を使って攻撃する」ということなんですね。蠍とか蜂を想像してみてください。poisonous は「食べたら毒になる」- そうした使い分けがあるわけです。
