「感謝したい」「頼み事をしたい」といった、
発言のタイプ別おすすめ表現を多数学びます。
などへとゆっくり進めていきます。

◎11月は
▶︎「発言タイプ」ー【判断を表現する】を勉強します。
私たちが日々行なっている、可能性や重要性、難易、優先などの判断を精度高く
表現することが目標です。

👉可能性⑥ ありえない
▶︎何かが起こる可能性が全くないことを表す表現を学びましょう。

会話の場面

登場人物

・将棋クラブのマサミ (Masami) とソウタ (Sota)

状況

・マサミとソウタが、なんとゼイトクスが将棋クラブ全員に全勝したことを話題にしています。

Opening で

Onishi
▶︎ Hey, Roza. Do you believe in reincarnation?

Roza
▶︎ Yeah. How about oyu?

Onishi
▶︎ I do too.

Roza
▶︎ This is Akino Roza.

David
▶︎ And I’m David Evans. I wonder what I was in the past life.

Onishi
▶︎ Giraffe?

Dialogue で

① Sota, Zaytox has beaten everybody in our club!【動詞 beat 】
👉さあ、beaten – これは beat という動詞の過去分詞ですね。「打ち負かす」という動詞です。
覚えておきましょう。

② It’s not a person, but an AI program.【 not A, but B の表現】
👉 not 〜 but … のコンビネーションが使われていますね。「〜ではなく … だ」という
コンビネーション。しっかりと上手に使いこなしましょう。

expressing how unbelievable or impossible something can be.

▶︎ Today I want you to have fun by putting emotion into your practice session.
So let’s try together.

David
▶︎ All right. Here we go!
・It’s impossible that this painting is real.
Do you hear how I extend the “im” in “impossible” just a little bit?
That’s how you stretch and emphasize how impossible this situation is.
Here’s one more.
・It’s impossible to imagine such a thing..

Roza
▶︎ Let’s continue.
・That’s impossible.
Let’s try another one.
・That can’t be true.

David
▶︎ Great work. Let’s keep going.
・Not a chance.
・No way.
