3月のテーマは「発言の流れを作る重要表現 」 

👉3月は、2月に引き続き流れ「フロー」についての学習です。

Lesson 234  例を示すフロー  

例を示す簡単で便利なフレーズ▶︎ for example, for instance
・[ classic / good / typical / obvious …] example, such as, like 〜

Opening で

Roza
▶︎ You know, we should have Radio Eikaiwa camp. Akino Roza here.

▶︎ Chris McVay here. Well, Roza, in the meantime let’s all relax and 
have a super cool lesson today.

Dialogue で

① I was thinking about having a shogi training camp soon.
👉 think about というフレーズが出てきましたね。
ここでは think about という形です。「〜についてよく考える」というフレーズです。

There are many ways to get around that.
👉さあ、There are many ways to get around that. という文が出てきましたね。
There are ways「方法はありますよ」とまず言い切ってしますわけですね。
そして、その ways – 「何の方法か」を、to get around that が修飾している
わけです。
▶︎ get around というのは、「うまく避ける」あるいは「回避する」
そうした意味合いで使うことのできるフレーズです。
「ぐるっと回って避けていく」わけですね。

▶︎ It’s practice time again.
Today let’s look at a variety of phrases that can be used to introduce “examples.”
OK. Here we go!
・Take Omoizawa, for example.
Once more.

And one more.
・Extreme weather has increased in recent years. Examples of this are 〜.
Try that one more. It’s a bit long.

▶︎  Let’s continue.
・This is a classic example of a stereotype. ×2

Chris
▶︎ OK. Up to now, we’e used the example itself.
But let’s change a little bit. Let’s try “such as.”
・We bought some furniture, such as a table and a sofa.
You get it? So once more.
・We bought some furniture, such as a table and a sofa.

Roza
▶︎ Next example.
・I have tons of things to do. – Such as?
One more time.
・I have tons of things to do. – Such as?
And our last example is very similar to “such as.”
But we’ll use “like” this time.
・There are many ways to improve your English, like reading books and
listening to Radio Eikaiwa.
Let’s try that one more time.
