👉３月は、２月に引き続き流れ「フロー」についての学習です。

wh語を用いた「譲歩」▶︎no matter＋wh：選択肢を最大限に広げ「変わらない」

Opening で

Roza
▶︎ Hey, everyone. Akino Roza here.

Chris
▶︎ Hi, guys. Chris McVay here. Roza, that’s good news.

Roza
▶︎ What is?

Chris
▶︎ Just practicing.

Dialogue で

① I can’t create any good painting.
👉さあ、create という動詞が出てきました。
これは、基本的に「つくる」という単語ではあるんですが、
「今までなかったものをつくり出す」という所に意味の重きがある単語です。

② Your standards have changed.
👉さあ、ここでは your standards という表現が出てきましたね。
これは「あなたの基準・水準」という意味で使われています。

③ I suggest taking a break from painting for a while.
👉さあ、I suggest ＋動詞ing形が出てきました。
I suggest これは「〜するといいんじゃないかな」という気軽な提案で
使われるフレーズです。
▶︎そして、for a while。これは「しばらくの間」

④ Then you can start afresh.
👉そして、start afresh。
これは、「新たに始める」というわけですね。afresh 副詞で使われています。

Practice

▶︎ OK, guys. It’s practice time.
Today we’re going to focus on the very useful expression, “no matter.”
It’s so useful because it can be used in many combinations: no matter [ what /
when / where / why / who / how ]. And alongside “no mater,” we can use
“what” with all the same combinations.
Let’s try these together when they express that something is true regardless
of the situation. Here we go!
・No matter where you go, I’ll follow you.
・No matter when you want to start, I’ll be ready.
・No matter how hard I tried, I couldn’t solve the problem.
And the last one.
・No matter who you choose to marry, I’ll support you.

▶︎ And let’s have one more example with “whatever.”

・Whatever I do, I’m not satisfied with the result.
Let’s try one more time.
・Whatever I do, I’m not satisfied with the result.
