Lesson 2 make it
Lesson 3 & 4  make のとるさまざまな形①②

Lesson 9 have の表す行為

👉 haveのイメージは「周りにある」- 位置を表す、動きのない静的なイメージ
▶︎「位置関係」から間接的に類推される行為も表す

Opening で

Roza
▶︎ Hey, everyone. Akino Roza here. Let’s get started.

Chris
▶︎ Chris McVay here. Looks like the only important thing  is “voice.”

Dialogue で

① I read a review about it.
👉 review これはもう日本語にもなっていますね。
「レビュー」あるいは「評価記事」というわけです。

② One of my friends at school is into them.
👉さあこの「熱中している」という表現。
into という前置詞が使われていましたよね。
into は「〜の中へ」つまり「のめり込んでいる」感じがするですね。
この表現、しっかり覚えましょう。

③ But finding films is kind of hard these days.
👉 finding films という動詞 ing形のフレーズが主語に置かれています。
動詞 ing形でも、「節」でも、to不定詞でも主語の場所に置かれたら主語。
気軽にポンと finding films 全体を主語の位置に置いてみてください。
それで主語の出来上がりです。
👉そして kind of hard
kind of 「ちょっと」という表現が出てきました。
これが hard の前に置かれているのは、もちろん「指定ルール」
– 指定は前に置く – が働いているからです。
▶︎ただ hard と言っているわけじゃなくて、kind of hard
– そのレベルを指定している、だから前置き、というわけです。

④ I can order some on the internet.
👉なぜ on が internet の前に置かれるのか。
▶︎ So why do you use “on” here?

Roza
▶︎ Well, because we think of the internet as a sort of platform.

Chris
▶︎ Right. You imagine, right? A platform is a wide flat space where
you can stand on. That’s the image with internet too.

Practice – have の表す行為

Chris
▶︎ OK, guys. Let’s further deepen a knowledge of “have.”
Now we’ve stated “have” is basically static, but it can be used
to introduce certain activities indirectly.
“Have dinner” – It doesn’t sound like much action is there.
But actually behind the scenes it is.
So “have” can be used in these cases.
So let’s practice some of these phrases together.

Roza
▶︎ And remember! Don’t think in Japanese.

Chris
▶︎ So “have tea”  – Try!
・have dinner
・have a call
That’s it.

Roza
▶︎ OK. Up next is “have a bath.”
・have a drink
・have a flight
・have a try
・have a talk

Chris
▶︎ And the very short one.
・be had
Imagine the activity involved there.
・be had   – Once more.
・be had

Roza
▶︎ And the last.
・can’t have such behavior
・won’t have such behavior
Great job!

Chris
▶︎ Excellent. Well done.

Ending

Onishi
▶︎ Hey, guys. Have you ever been had?

Roza
▶︎ Well, I think Chris went to an expensive restaurant the other day.
And he felt like he had been had,

Chris
▶︎ Roza?

Roza
▶︎ Yes,

Chris
▶︎ The answer is “I’ve never been had.”
Because I’m far too smart, OK?

Roza
▶︎ If you say so.

Words and Phrases

① these days
👉最近
② be had
👉だまされる
③ disruptive
👉妨害的な・混乱をもたらす

これで、
Lesson 9 は終了!
