👉２月号のテーマは「受動態・比較」。
– 今まで学んだ配置の知識を使って表現の場を広げていきます。

▶︎先週に続き、今週も引き続き「比較」を学びます。

▶︎ Hey, guys. Chris McVay here. Roza, you got your name right
again at the opening. How’s just wondering about taking six
months off?

Roza
▶︎ Dream on!

Chris
▶︎ Umm…, OK.

Dialogue で

① He’s taking the morning off.
👉「午前中の間、仕事を休む」というフレーズなんですけど、
ここの the – the じゃなきゃいけないんでしょうかね。
▶︎ So is this “the” obligatory here?

Roza
▶︎ You can also say “a” for example if you’re not sure
which morning of which day you wanna take off.

Chris
▶︎ Yeah, like I’d like to take “a” morning off next week,
something like that. Yeah.

② He’ll be in after lunch.
👉この in – この使い方、難しいですね。
“in” 「その中に入っている」-「会社に来ている」ということを
表している in です。

③ Oh, that’s unusual.
👉この unusual – もちろん学習者が見ればですね、usual に un がついて
「普段見られないこと」という意味合いになるということは分かるわけですが…
▶︎「読んで、見て、分かる」というのと「反射的に口にできる」というのは
全く別物です。何度か口慣らしをして、ぜひこの単語を使えるようにして
みてください。

④ He’s actually one of the key players here.
👉 one of 複数形のパターンですね。
これも口慣らしして覚えましょう。

So here we should feel the position of the gap, it comes after “seems.”
