Dialogue で
① lots of
👉 a lot of よりも、勢いのある感触のフレーズ。
② eels
👉ここでは冠詞がつかず、そして複数形の eels という形が
出てきました。▶︎これは「種族全体」を表す典型的な形です。
「うなぎ一般」「うなぎというもの」を指しています。
③ Would you like to try it?
👉「食べてみたいですか？」
まとめて覚えましょう。非常によく使う文です。
④ at least
👉 least は little の最上級で「最も少ない」そして at は「点」
ですから ▶︎「最も少ない点では」従って「少なくとも」という
意味になります。
⑤ double the price
👉「２倍の値段」という意味。この言い方を覚えましょう。
double の後ろに名詞句が来ます。
・double the price
・double the number of students
・double the money
など。しっかり覚えましょう。
⑥ it’s my treat for all your kindness
👉これは、もう全部覚えてしまいましょう。
「いろいろお世話になったのでおごりますよ」という意味です。
