👉今年度は…
「感謝したい」「頼み事をしたい」といった、
発言のタイプ別おすすめ表現を多数学びます。
などへとゆっくり進めていきます。

◎10月は
▶︎「発言タイプ」ー【さまざまな応答・知識】を勉強します。
「応答」は相手の発言に対するスタンダードな受け答えです。
「知識」はさまざまな「知っているよ」の伝え方。どちらもとっても重要な発言タイプです。

👉意見・考えの応答⑧ 判断の留保
▶︎「賛成も反対もできない」- という場合に使うことができる表現を学びましょう。

会話の場面

登場人物

・異星人ゼイトクス (Zaytox)
・ソウタ (Sota) とマサミ (Masami)
※将棋クラブの部屋で

状況

・ゼイトクスとソウタがひとしきり話した後に、マスミがやってきて、ゼイトクスに彼とどんな話を
したのかを聞い

Opening で

Roza
▶︎Akino Roza here.

David
▶︎ And I’m David Evans. There’s a lot to do today. So let’s get started.

Dialogue で

① Did you talk to him?【 talk to 〜の意味】
👉さあ、talk to 〜と言うフレーズが出てきました。「〜と話をする」というわけですね。

② He said he never had an alien in his club before.【 alien の意味 】
👉さあ、ここのalien という単語が出てきましたね。「異星人」という単語です。

③ Yeah, I would think not. 【 would のニュアンス】
👉さあ、ここの I would think not. という文。なかなか意味が取りづらい文かと思いますけれ
ども、Roza, could you explain why “would” is used here?
Roza▶︎ The “would” here is used to express some level of uncertainty. Masami thinks
about it, and says, “Oh, I would think not.” Do you feel the uncertainty?

▶︎ OK, guys. Let’s practice what to say when you can’t say.

David
▶︎ Don’t just limit yourself to one phrase. If you always say, “I don’t know,”
it doesn’t convey the right meaning. So let’s practice a lot of different ways
to say. I can’t say…
OK. Here we go!
・I’m not so sure about that.
・I’m not really sure about that.
・I’m not very sure about that.
・I’m not super sure about that.
・I’m not completely sure about that.
Here’s one more.
・I can’t say for sure.

▶︎ OK. Let’s continue.
・It’s hard to say.

・It’s not easy to say.

▶︎ All right. And here’s one more.
・I wouldn’t like to say.
