発言のタイプ別おすすめ表現を多数学びます。
などへとゆっくり進めていきます。

◎そのために
▶︎７月も６月に引き続き、「発言タイプ」についてで
人をある方向に「動かす」言語活動の②です。

▶︎「覚えておいてね」ーそれが今日学ぶ発言タイプ。

会話の場面

登場人物

・アンドロイドのジーニー (Jeannie)
・フランク・N・スタイン博士 (Dr. Stein)

状況

・ジーニーが、スタイン博士と話をしています。ジーニーは、日本に行って温泉に行く
のを楽しみしているようですよ。

Opening で

Roza
▶︎ Hey, everyone. Akino Roza here.

David
▶︎ And I’m David Evans.

Dialogue で

① Yes, and I’m looking forward to the onsen there.
【look forward toの意味】
👉 look forward to というフレーズが出てきましたね。
「〜を楽しみにする」というお馴染みのフレーズ。しっかりと覚えておきましょう。

② Oh, you mean hot springs.【you mean が使われる場面】
👉さあ、you mean というのはですね、相手の本当の意図を述べるときに使う、
そうした表現でしたね、

③ You can, but be aware that the acids in the water might be harmful.
【acid, might, harmful の意味】
👉さあ、acid という単語が出てきましたね、これは「酸」です。
👉そして、might be harmful – harmful は「有害な」という形容詞、might は
「ひょっとして〜かもしれない」という表現、しっかりと覚えておきましょう。

That is “※(米印).” That for me is the nuance of these phrases.

These all have the “※,” kind of feel to them.
