👉1２月は、副詞・限定詞について勉強をしてます。

👉 down は「下」▶︎ up と同じように豊かな比喩的な使い方がある

Opening で

Roza
▶︎ Hey, everyone. Akino Roza here.
Chris, you look so stylish today.

Chris
▶︎Chris McVay here. Well, thank you, Roza.
You know, Brits can be as fashionable as the French or Italians, you know.

Dialogue で

① Anyway, try to stay warm, Roza.
👉さあ、anyway という単語 – 話題を転換する時に使う単語ですね。
「それはそうと・とにかく」まあ、そうした感触ですね。

② It‘s good that you brought that.
👉 It 〜 that … の形ですね。
It’s good「いい」と言っているわけですね。「何がいいか」ということを、
that 以下が説明しているわけです。

③ Mom suggested that I bring it, …
👉さあ、suggest という動詞が出てきましたね。軽い提案を行う動詞です。

④ Not at all.
👉さあ、Not at all. – at は「点」全ての点に関して、not と言っているわけですね。
「とんでもない」というわけです。

And today we’er focusing on “down,” which is of course the opposite
of “up.” And once again, I’m sure you’ll be amazed at the variety of uses
that come from just a simple image of “a downward movement.”
So let’s do it.
