👉11月からは、形容詞・副詞について勉強をします。

Lesson 154 形容詞もイメージ②：豊かな表現力

👉特別な色合いのない「重要な」▶︎ important
・essential -「絶対に必要な」というニュアンス
・vital – 「生命に関わる」というイメージ→そこから「極めて重要な」
・key -「鍵・カギとなる」→可能性や理解などへの扉を開く重要性を帯びる
・crucial-crossのイメージ:成り行きを決定づける岐路→極めて重要な・決定的な

① Cindy, what do you call this fruit in English? – It‘s a persimmon.
👉さあ、It’s a persimmon. 前の文で出てきた this fruit というのを
受ける感触がこの it に宿っています。それを、しっかり受けて「柿ですよ」
受けて「柿ですよ」この感触 – これが it だと覚えておきましょう。

② There is a haiku about persimmons by the poet Masaoka Shiki.
👉さあ、by the poet – the poet と言うのは「詩人」ということです。
そして、by は行為者を表す前置詞でしたね。「詩人正岡子規による俳句」まあ、
そうした修飾関係になっているわけです。

③ Let’s take a bite and see what happens.
👉さあ、ここで let’s take a bite – take a bite というフレーズ、
これは覚えておきましょう。「一口食べる」というわけですね。
