青森県公立高校入試分析（英語）の５回目です。

今回は、最後の第５問を扱いますが、
第５問は、「長文読解問題」です。

それでは、第５問を見ていきます。
第５問の配点は、
（１）が各３点✖４＝計１２点
（２）は各３点✖３＝計９点
（３）は４点、なので合計２５点となっています。

次の英文は、中学生のあゆみ(Ayumi) と彼女の両親が、村が企画した「星とキャンドルの夜」(Night
of Stars and Candies) というイベントに参加したときのことについて書かれたものです。これを読んで、あとの（１）～（３）に答えなさい。*印の語句には、本文のあとに（注）があります。（25点）

ーOne day, Ayumi came home from school after her *club activity. She was surprised to see her father at home. He was reading a newspaper. Ayumi said, “What’s going on? You’re always very busy and come home *late.” Her father said, “Today, our village has an event called Night of Stars and Candles. In this event, people see beautiful stars and *candlelight at the park and spend the summer night in a *relaxed way. So, I came home early to go there with you and your mom.”
ーAyumi said, “I want to watch *videos on the Internet after dinner. Can I use your *smart phone at the park?” Her mother said, “Sorry, but you can’t use it today. I think that we can enjoy the event without it.” She didn’t feel happy when she heard that. She could not *imagine how to spend the night without *electronic devices. Then, Ayumi’s mother said, “You liked to see stars when you were in elementary school. You can see many stars and beautiful candlelight at the park. Let’s go there together after dinner.” Ayumi started to be interested in the event.
ーWhen Ayumi and her parents arrived at the park, many people were already there and talking a lot. There were about five hundred *candles in the park and the candlelight was *bright. Later, *electric light of the park were *turned off. The sky and the park were amazing. Everyone *caught their breath. Ayumi saw a lot of stars in the sky. She also saw candlelight around her in the park. Ayumi said to her parents, “The stars and candlelight are very beautiful. I didn’t know that they were very bright like this.” Ayumi felt very relaxed.
ーHer father said to her mother, “I’m happy to have a lot of time with you and Ayumi.” Her mother said, “You’re right. It’s nice to spend the time together.” Ayumi said, “I thought that the time with my family was special for me because I spent the time in a different way.” Her mother said, “That is a good thing, Ayumi. I want to talk more with you.” Many people in the park were smiling when they saw the beautiful stars and candlelight. Ayumi and her parents continued to see the lights and talk for a long time. They thought that the night was so wonderful.

本文の内容と合うように、次のア～エの英語に続けるのに最も適切なものを、１～４の中からそれぞれ一つ選び、その番号を書きなさい。

アの選択肢

ア　Ayumi came home from school and found that

【解説と解答】

①出だしの英文から「アユミが学校から帰宅した」時、「父が何をしていたか」がポイントで、１段落目の内容だとわかります。
②１～４の選択肢の内容は下記の通り。

ー3 彼女の父はろうそくの灯りを見ていた。
ー4 彼女の父は本を読んでいた。
③「１段落目」は下記のような内容です。

☞ここからすると、
「父が早く帰宅して家にいた」ことにびっくりしたとあるので、正解は、

イの選択肢

イ　Before Ayumi went to the park with her parents,

①出だしの英文から「アユミが両親と公園に行く前に」とあるので、その時点でアユミが
どのような状態であったかを確認するといいようです。「アユミが公園に行く前」のことは２段落目で述べられています。
② 1 ～ 4 の選択肢の内容は下記の通り。
ー1 彼女はそこへの行き方を知りたがっていた。
ー2 彼女は自分の小学校を訪問したかった。
ー3 彼女は彼らとろうそくを使い始めた。
ー4 彼女はそのイベントに興味を持ちはじめた。。
③「２段落目」は下記のような内容です。
ーアユミは、「夕食後ネットで動画を見たい。公園であなたのスマホを使っていい？」と

ウの選択肢

①出だしの英文から、「アユミが公園についた時」とあるので、その時の様子を正しく述べている文を選ぶ問題で、３段落目に注目するといいようです。
②選択肢の内容は下記の通り。

次の英文が本文の内容と合うように、（ア）～（ウ）に入る最も適切な語を、下の 1 ～ 7 の中からそれぞれ一つずつ選び、その番号を書きなさい。

・このような問題であれば、それぞれの部分にどんな品詞が入るのかを最初に考えた方がいいです。（ア）が入っている英文を見てみましょう。

☞（　ア　）の後ろの目的語が “an event” なので、動詞の意味で考えると

（イ）の選択肢

・（イ）が入っている英文を見ましょう。

◎（　イ　）の前に was があるので、可能性があるのは、「形容詞」か「ing形（過去進行形）」か「過去分詞（受動態）」かと思われます。

→選択肢を見ると、「選択肢」は下記の２つです。
2 made（ make の過去分詞：作られた）
4 sad（形容詞：悲しい、寂しい）
5 walked（ join の過去分詞：歩かれた）
6 glad（形容詞：うれしい）

☞（　イ　）の後ろに to 不定詞( to talk with 〜) があることと、意味を考えると
受動態はなさそうです。ここから、4 の sad か 6 のglad になりますが、
話の内容からすると
正解は、

6 glad となります。

（ウ）の選択肢

・（ウ）が入ってる英文を見ましょう。

◎ a wonderful（　ウ　）で、ひとかたまりで、「素晴らしい〜」を持った（経験した）となるようなので、名詞が入るようです。

→選択肢を見ると、「名詞」は下記の２つです。

7 dinner（名詞：夕食）

☞ここを押さえた上で、話の内容と合うものを考えると、正解は

1 experience となります。

（３）具体的な内容

下線部 That が表している内容を日本語で具体的に書きなさい。

◎ that の指示代名詞は、たいていはすぐ前の文章の内容を示しています。

☞直前の英文は、このようになっています。
Ayumi said, “I thought that the time with my family was special for me because I spent the time in a different way.”
※すなわち、直前の「アユミ」さんの発言の内容を指して、

☞「アユミさんの発言」の内容を日本語にすると、それが答えとなります。
