通常は、「ラジオ英会話」と「ラジオビジネス英語」で勉強しているのですが、
今週は再放送の週のため、Challenge Week として、
１週間だけ「英会話楽習」で学んできたものをアップします。

▶︎Carolyn, what’s happening in the music scene
in Canada?

▶︎That’s a very requesting, Ken.
There’s actually so much I want to introduce
to everyone about Canadian music scene.
– But to keep it show up, I just wanna see Canada
is a very small country population. But there’s such
amazing diversity of music there.
– For such a small population, and it’s amazing
amount of fantastic music is made.

▶︎For example, like Inuit through singing,
we have amazing jazz musicians, classical musicians,
and some of the biggest pop musicians in the world.
A Canadian “Drake,” “The Weekend. These are huge.

▶︎How about an old day – Paul Anka?

▶︎Yes, people, we’re surprised to hear he is a Canadian.
Jeff, do you know a Canadian?
ジェフさん
▶︎I do.
A group, “The Rush,” “【バンド名】?”

▶︎Awesome groups.

▶︎”Michael Buble”?

▶︎Also a Canadian.

▶︎He’s very good.

▶︎I mean they are the regular【 ? 】Indians(?),
you know.
– On a personal note,
I wanted to say, I chose Neil Young for a reason.
– When I was younger, we used to go camping every summer.
So at the end of the camping day,
we’d be really tired, we’d make a campfire. Someone would
bring out their guitar. And we’d start singing Neil Young’s
songs.

▶︎So we know it’s end of day, kind of having this,
you know, sing a song of just beautiful Neil Young’s
songs.
– So that’s why I think he’s just, he is a wonderful
artist to use, to showcase, kind of, as a representative
of Canadian music.

▶︎Oh, yeah, absolutely.

▶︎Some of the first songs I learned were
Neil Young’s songs.
