４月のテーマは、「英文法の柱」
👉今年度は「ラジオ英会話」のテーマは英文法のマスターです。
効率的で、本質的な文法を学んで「話せる」英語に近づきましょう。

👉指定ルール 否定の not
▶︎実は否定を表す not は、「常に前置き」で使われているのです。
会話の場面
登場人物
・考古学者ピーコック教授 ( Peacock)と妻のアキ (Aki)
状況
・教授がアキに美味しい fish and chips を作ってあげて、食べています。そして、今日は
金曜日 ….
Opening で
Roza
▶︎ Hey, everyone. This is Akino Roza.
David
▶︎ And I’m David Evans. Roza, he is fishing for complements.
Dialogue で
① So, Aki, this is my classic fish and chips.【 fish and chops, classic の意味 】
👉さあ、fish and chips – これはイギリスの伝統的な食べ物ですね。
▶︎そして、classic – これは「定番・由緒正しい」というわけですね。
② Try a little vinegar on it.【 vinegar の意味 】
👉さあ、vinegar – これは「酢」のことですね。
③ It adds a kick. 【 kick のニュアンス 】
👉そして、adds a kick – add という動詞は「加える」、kick – これは日本語で
「パンチ」とでも言う所でしょうね。「パンチを加える」「深み」あるいは「刺激を加える」
ということです。
④ I’m happy you like it.【 happy の後ろの文の役割 】
👉 I’m happy の後ろに you like it が加えれていますね。
これは、「うれしい」その感情の原因を説明しています。
⑤ I don’t eat meat on Fridays. 【現在形のもつニュアンス】
👉さあ、ここでは現在形 eat が用いられていますよね。
習慣的な内容を表す現在形です。
⑥ Well, I’m not religious, but my parents had that tradition. 【 religious の意味 】
👉 religious という単語が出てきましたね。これは「宗教上の」という意味、あるいは
「信仰の厚い」ということを意味します。
▶︎ tradition – 「慣習」あるいは「伝統」というわけですね。

The important point here is that “否定” comes first.
What we’d like you to do is shake your head to the side just like “no” for
the first part – “she isn’t,” “I don’t.”
