発言のタイプ別おすすめ表現を多数学びます。

これまで培った英語力を会話力にしていきましょう。

▶︎今回の「流れ」は、「〜と言えば」という話題転換をするときの表現を学びましょう。

会話の場面

登場人物

・天文学者のニール・ダウンズ博士 (Dr. Downs)
・メーガン (Megan)
※異星人ゼイトクスが逃げ出したアメリカの研究所で

状況

・ゼイトクスが逃げ出してから、もう1年。行方を探しているダウンズ博士は、オンラインの将棋ゲームで、彼らしい痕跡を見つけたようです…

Opening で

Roza
▶︎ Hey, everyone. This is Akino Roza.

David
▶︎ And I’m David Evans. I’m sure you’re NO.1 in the world when it comes to bad jokes,

Roza
▶︎ I agree with that.

Dialogue で

① You have no clue where he is?【 no clue の意味 】
👉 no clue – clue というのは「手がかり」のことですね。
Yo have no clue -「手がかりがない」ということです。

② Are you familiar with online gaming?【 be familiar のニュアンス】
👉 be familiar with 「よく知っている」ということですね。
どこかへ行ったことがある、あるいは何かを使ったことがある・見たことがある
– そうした経験に根ざした「よく知っている」- それを表すので、この
be familiar with というフレーズ。
