発言のタイプ別おすすめ表現を多数学びます。

◎11月は
▶︎「発言タイプ」ー【判断を表現する】を勉強します。
私たちが日々行なっている、可能性や重要性、難易、優先などの判断を精度高く
表現することが目標です。

▶︎「絶対そうなる」強い確信を表す言い回しを学びましょう。
会話の場面

・将棋クラブのマサミ (Masami)
・異星人ゼイトクス (Zaytox)
状況
・ゼイトクスとマサミが話をしています。ゼイトクスは、将棋クラブに入りたいと思っているようですが ….
Opening で
Roza
▶︎ Hey, everyone. This is Akino Roza.
David
▶︎ And I’m David Evans. I’d lose clothes only to find I’m wearing them.
Dialogue で
① Zaytox, thanks for waiting.【 理由を表す for 】
👉 thanks for 〜「〜してくれてありがとう」理由の for ですね。
② Why don’t you practice playing with our members in the meantime?
【 軽い提案の Why don’t you 〜？ 】
👉さあ、Why don’t you 〜？ これは「軽い提案」を行う、お馴染みのフレーズですね。
▶︎そして、in the meantime – これは、「とりあえず・差し当たり」というフレーズ。
覚えておきましょう。
③ 〜, so you need to practice. 【 need とこれからを表す to とのコンビ 】
👉 need to というフレーズが出てきました。「〜する必要がある」-「これから」する
必要があるため、to が選ばれる、というわけです。
need ＋ to 不定詞、しっかりと覚えておきましょう。
④ How about going to the vegan ramen place first? 【 こちらも軽い提案 】
👉さあ、How about 〜？こちらも軽い提案を表すフレーズ。
⑤ Sounds like a plan！ 【 いいプランだね 】
👉これは、「プランのように聞こえる」と訳することもできますけれど、実際には
「それはいいプランなんだよね」と、この状況では適したいいプランですね、
というニュアンスで使われています。
Practice

▶︎ OK, everyone. It’s time to practice. Now today we’ll be talking about
“being sure.” So be sure to emphasize those parts when you practice.
David
▶︎ All right. Let’s jump right in. Here’s our first.
・I’m sure he’ll understand.
・I’m certain he’ll understand.
・I’m convinced he’ll understand.
Did you hear my accent with “convinced”? Really lean into that “vin”
in the middle.
Roza
▶︎ OK. Let’s continue.
・He is sure to win.
Emphasizing the word “sure” as well as saying the word slower
emphasizes it. Let’s try another version.
・He is bound to win.
David
▶︎ I like how the explosive “b” sound makes the impact of that word much
stronger.
Roza
▶︎ Good point, David.
David
▶︎ All right. Let’s continue.
・Without a shadow of a doubt they’ll win.
・Beyond a shadow of a doubt they’ll win.
・In all likelihood they’ll win.
Roza
▶︎ OK. Our last example.
・I guarantee you she’ll say yes.
Let’s try that one more time.
