先月に引き続き「感情操作」、そしてさらに相手の「行動」や「考え方」の
操作です。

▶︎相手の考えを改めさせるため、相手が見過ごしている事実を指摘する表現を学びましょう。

状況
・ビルとシンシアが、デスパレード・ラッツの新曲について話をしています。シンシアは新曲が
時代遅れだと思っているのですが …
Opening で
Roza
▶︎ Hey, everyone. This is Akino Roza.
David
▶︎ And I’m David Evans. I’ve got that disco fever!
Dialogue で
① Cynthia, do you really think my songs are old-fashioned?【 old-fashioned の意味】
👉 old-fashioned これは「時代遅れの」というわけですね。
② Bill, you must admit that nobody listens to this kind of music anymore.
【 議論で有効な表現 you must admit 】
👉さあ、ここで出てきた you must admit that – admit これは「認める」という表現ですが、
もう丸ごと覚えてくださいね。「ここまでは認めなくてはいけないよ」議論で有効な一手です。
▶︎そして nobody と anymore が コンビネーションで使われていましたよね。
「誰も何も〜ない」というわけです。
③ I’m telling you, Cynthia, disco music is coming back!
【強調の表現の１種 I’m telling you 】
👉 I’m telling you これは重要な内容の前置きとして使われる表現。
強調表現の一種ですね。
④ Anyway, I think our fans will be surprised.【 anyway のニュアンス 】
👉 anyway – これはそれまで続いてきた話題を、帳消しにして全部消し去るような雰囲気の単語です。
⑤ That’s for sure. 【 まとめて覚えるべき頻用表現 】
👉「それは間違いないわね。」まとめて覚えてください。

rather than the customizable parts, it’s the set parts. “Don’t forget ..,” “You must admit ..,”
they are the focus of these phrases. Please listen for that as we practice together.
