8月のテーマは、引き出す・感情を操作する

👉今年度は…
「感謝したい」「頼み事をしたい」といった、
発言のタイプ別おすすめ表現を多数学びます。
などへとゆっくり進めていきます。

◎８月は
▶︎「発言タイプ」ー【引き出す】【感情を操作する】を勉強します。
日常頻繁にある情報や許可・意見などを相手から引き出したり、励まして
相手の感情を操作する方法についてです。

Lesson 93 発言タイプ：引き出す⑪

👉引き出す⑪ その場で何が起こっているのかを問う
▶︎相手から「一体何が起こっているのか」と、その場の状況を引き出す表現を学びましょう。

会話の場面

登場人物

・マサミ (Masami)
・異星人ゼイトクス (Zaytox)

状況

・キャロリンから連絡を受けたマサミが、ビーガンラーメン店でゼイトクスと会います。
ゼイトクスは、彼女にアメリカの研究所から抜け出してきて、これから友達を作りたい
と話します。

Opening で

Roza
▶︎ Hey, everyone. This is Akino Roza. Ready for another fantastic lesson?

David
▶︎ And I’m David Evans. You’ll never be disappointed listening to us.

Dialogue で

① You didn’t have to rush over. 【 rush over の意味】
👉 rush over – これは「急いでやってくる」というフレーズです。

② I didn’t want you to leave suddenly.【want 人 to 〜の解釈】
👉さあ、I didn’t want you to 〜. want you to 〜という、to 不定詞を
使った目的語説明型が出てきました。 you が to 以下の方向へ進んでいくことを
欲している – これが want you to 〜の文の解釈です。

③ What are you doing here? 【漂う不信感】
👉これは「何をここでしているんですか」という疑問文ですが、ここでは
いささか不信感が漂っていますね。

④ I escaped from a laboratory in America.【 laboratory の短い言い方は？】
👉 laboratory という難しい発音の単語が出てきましたね。
「研究所・実験室」という単語ですけれども…
▶︎ What’s the shorter version of this word?
Roza：Lab.
David：Not “labo.”

⑤ He has never seen an alien before. 【 never の使い方】
👉現在完了形経験用法の否定バージョンです。He has never – この部分を
しっかりと練習しておきましょう。

Practice

▶︎ All right, everyone. It’ time for the practice. Today’s phrases are all set phrases.
They are easy to remember, and easy to use. However, please be careful about
your intonation. The line between confusion and anger is very thin here.
So be sure to choose which one you need.

▶︎ Keep that in mind when you do choose to use them in a conversation.
