日常頻繁にある情報や許可・意見などを相手から引き出したり、励まして
相手の感情を操作する方法についてです。

▶︎今回は「アドバイス」を引き出す表現を学びましょう。

会話の場面

登場人物

・夫のタクマとロサンゼルスに引っ越してきたケリー (Kelly)
・ケリーのおじ、テレビのトークショーの司会者バリー・キング (Bally)

状況

・バリーとケリーが話をしています。ケリーは、来週から「ケリー・キング・ショー」を
始めることになったらしいです。

Opening で

Roza
▶︎ Hey, everyone. Akino Roza here.

David
▶︎ And I’m David Evans. OK, everyone. Let’s get ready, and have a good day.

Dialogue で

① Kelly, how do you like living in LA?
【感想をたずねる how do you like 〜？】
👉さあ、how do you like 〜？というフレーズが出てきました。
これは、感想をたずねるフレーズですね。

② You can say that again.【強い同意を表す表現】
👉強い同意を表す表現ですね。「はあ〜、全くその通り」
そんな感じです。

③ Somehow that sounds strange. 【somehow の意味】
👉さあ、ここで somehow という単語が出てきましたね。
「何らかの方法で・プロセスで」という意味合いです。
「どういうわけか」そんな感じですね。

▶︎ OK, I don’t have much to say. My only advice is to practice
with the feeling of wanting advice. OK?

“advice” and “advise me to do.” Let’s continue.
