今までの道のり
▶︎英語は「配置の言葉」
– 語順は「基本文型」と「修飾語順規則」によって決まる。
– Lesson 1 から 9 までは「修飾語順規則」を扱いました。
▶︎Lesson 11 からは Lesson 40までは
「基本文型」の基本を学んできました。
▶︎Lesson 31 から Lesson 53 までは、
節・to不定詞・動詞-ing形・動詞原形・過去分詞の拡張について勉強し、
Lesson 54, 56 では「リポート文の拡張」を学習しました。
▶︎Lesson 57 〜 59 で「命令文」と「there 文」を扱いました。
▶︎７月号からは、「説明ルール」で、
「文の説明」「動詞句の説明」「形容詞＋to不定詞」「名詞の説明」を終了。
▶︎先週に引き続き、「関係代名詞」についてです。

Dialogue で
① the woman in red
👉「赤い服を着た女性」というフレーズ。
これが、Stevie Wonder の曲のタイトルです。
※この in の使い方 -「赤い服の中に包まれている」感触がします。
だから、in が使われています。覚えましょう。
② He works there.
👉「現在形 – works」が使われています。
※「現在形」というのは、「広く一般的に成り立つ事態」 – そうした
ものを表す形です。「普段から、いつもそこで働いている」のです。
③ What a coincidence!
👉「なんて偶然なんだろう！」
このフレーズもしっかり覚えましょう。
After the dialogue

▶︎OK, guys. So we’re going to practice the three versions of the
key sentence just like Onishi Sensei said.
・OK, so first, we’ll do the 関係代名詞なし version. Ready?
– He’s the guy I always see □ at our local convenience store.
・OK, next, we’ll use “that.” Ready?
– He’s the guy that I always see □ at our local convenience store.
・OK, good.
・Now, for the last version, we’ll see “who.”
– He’s the guy who I always see □ at our local convenience store.
・So do you see the progression from the first version,
to the second version when you use “that,” and then finally,
to the strongest linking “who”?

When do you eat “こんにゃく”?
Chris
▶︎Well, as vegetarians, we eat it every week.

▶︎Yeah, whenever we’re hungry.
