今回も前回の続きで、「第３問Ａの３」の問題を詳しく見ていきます。
Ａ問３：バラクラフにそぐわない英文を見つける問題
次の問い（問１～３）のパラグラフ（段落）には、まとまりをよくするために取り除いた方がよい文が一つある。取り除く文として最も適当なものを、それぞれ下線部①～④のうちから一つずつ選べ。

それでは、解説に入ります。

「動物性たんぱく質」がとても必要とされているので、「代わりに虫」を使ってはどうだろうという会議が開かれた、という内容になっています。
これがそのまま「トピック」になるようなので、
「動物性たんぱく質の代替えとしての虫」とします。
【選択肢の英文の内容】
・それぞれの選択肢の英文の内容を確認しましょう。
① It isn’t well known, but insects are an extremely healthy food as they are full of protein, vitamins, and minerals.
→「虫」は「タンパク質、ビタミン、ミネラルが豊富な」「健康食」であると言ってます。
② Insects have been around for millions of years, living with the dinosaurs and then very early human beings.
→虫は「何百年もの間身近にいる」ものであることが書かれています。（例として恐竜、初期段階の人類のことも挙げています。）

選択肢③「虫はを育てることは環境にもやさしい」

→このトピックからすると、パラグラフの内容は「動物性たんぱく質の代わりとして虫」が取り上げられる理由になっているはずです。選択肢①③④は、それぞれ「虫」のよい点を述べていますが、②だけはその流れからはずれています。よって、正解は②となります。
【パラグラフとその選択肢の逐語訳】
a：世界の動物性たんぱく質の増大する需要に応じて、豚肉、鶏肉、牛肉に代わる食料として虫を使うことの様々な良い点を議論する会議が開かれました。
