👉今年度は…
「感謝したい」「頼み事をしたい」といった、
発言のタイプ別おすすめ表現を多数学びます。
などへとゆっくり進めていきます。

◎12月は
▶︎先月に引き続き「発言タイプ」ー【判断を表現する】を勉強します。
「失敗」「成功」「類似・同一・相違」や「決定」「決意表明」「相手の都合を尋ねる」など
「これから」に関わる表現を学んでいきましょう。

▶︎今回は、「決意表明」にまつわる表現を学びましょう。

会話の場面

登場人物

・フランク・N・スタイン博士 (Dr. Stein)
・アンドロイドのジーニー (Jeannie)

状況

・スタイン博士とジーニが、自宅でクリスマスツリーの準備をしています。

Opening で

Roza
▶︎ This is Akino Roza.

David
▶︎ And I’m David Evans. Maybe the letter will say, “AI love you.”

Dialogue で

① You have an eye for beauty, Jeannie . 【 eye for beauty の意味】
👉さあ、ここの have an eye for beauty – これは「審美眼を持っている」というわけですね。

② So does Frankie. 【この表現のニュアンス】
👉さあ、ここでは So does Frankie. – フランキーが主語で助動詞表現の does が前に出てきていますね。つまり、疑問文の形です。「いや〜、フランキーもそうなんですよ」少し感情の高揚が感じられる「〜も」という表現になっています。

③ I appreciate it. 【 thank you との違い】
👉さあ、I appreciate it. Thank ou よりもレベルの高い感謝の表現です。
