👉12月は、副詞・限定詞について勉強をしています。

Lesson 171 限定詞①：限定詞のない表現

👉 限定詞とは▶︎名詞の前に置かれ意味内容を詳細に限定する単語のこと
– a, the, some, any , no など

◎今回は、「限定詞」が使われていない「裸名詞」についてです。

Opening で

Roza
▶︎ Akino Roza here.

Chris
▶︎ Chris McVay here. Can I smell curry in the studio?

Roza
▶︎ I’m getting hungry.

Dialogue で

① Hi, how are you enjoying the workshop?
👉ここの how は、「どの程度・どのくらい」というわけです。
こうした how の使い方ができるようになると素晴らしいですよ。

② [Aileen] Nice to meet you, too.
👉さあ、Casper の Nice to meet you. と言ったのに対して、
Aileen は、Nice to meet you, too. と答えていますよね。
この「受け」をしっかりと練習してください。

③ They are highly intelligent animals.
👉 highly これは「とても」という意味ですね。
そして、intelligent これは「知能が高い」という意味です。

Practice

▶︎ OK, guys. It’s the moment you’ve all been waiting for.
It’s practice time! Today we’re going to practice bare plurals and
uncountable nouns alongside each other.
So are you ready? Here we go!
・I love cats.
You say, it’s not this dog, it’s not my dog. It’s just dogs in general.
That’s what the bare plurals do.
・I love sports cars.
・I love wine.
・I love cheese.

・Water boils at 100 ℃.
・Computers have changed our daily life a lot.
