秋田県公立高校入試分析（英語）の３回目です。
今回は、第３問を扱いますが、
第３問では、「英文を読んでの質問と自分の考えを答える」問題です。
それでは第３問を見て行きます。
第３問の配点は、
（１）が各３点✖️２＝計６点
（２）は５点、なので合計１１点となっています。
第３問
（１）少し長めの英文を読んで質問に答える問題
次は、中学生の優(Masaru)が、海外で自己紹介(self-introduction)したときの体験について書いた文章です。これを読んで、①、②の問いに対する答えを、それぞれ主語と動詞を含む英文１文で書きなさい。
ー Last year, I had a chance to visit our *sister school in America. At that time, I
*introduced myself there. At first, I tried to * memorize everything. But it was too
difficult because there were many things to memorize. So, I wrote some important
points on a piece of paper. I looked at it while I was speaking. *As a result, I did my
self-introduction well.
ー In my self-introduction, I introduced myself and Japanese things like sushi,
manga and judo to the students in the class. I was surprised that they knew well
about the things I introduced. After my self-introduction, they asked many questions
about me and Japan. I was really happy. It was a good experience for me.

*sister school：姉妹校 *introduce：紹介する *memorize：暗記する
*as a result：結果として

①の質問に対する解説・解答
ー What did Masaru do for his self-introduction after he tried to memorize it?
【解説】
・質問文の意味は、
「優は自己紹介を暗記しようとした後に何をしましたか。」
という意味です。
※内容読解の問題を解く場合、
特に問題文の長文が長い場合は、
「先に(英語の)質問を読んで」から問題文を読むと、
「何を探して読めばいいのか」が明確になるので
時間が短縮できますよ。
・先に「質問文」を読んでから、
問題文を読むと、
最初に「暗記しようとした」部分があります。
”At first, I tried to * memorize everything. But it was too difficult because there were many things to memorize.”
文脈からすると、
「全てを暗記しようとしたが、難しすぎた」
とあり、結局はあきらめたようです。
さて、それではその後に何をしたか。ここが「答え」の部分になりますが、
このように書かれています。
”So, I wrote some important points on a piece of paper.”
この部分が「答え」になります。
ここを押さえて、
あとは、「質問文」に合わせて
答えの文を作りましょう。
【解答】
質問文：What did Masaru do for his self-introduction after he tried to memorize it?
👉答えの文を作ろう！
① 主語 Masaru を代名詞に
→ He
② what と do で「動作」を聞いています。
ただ、”did” を用いているので「過去形」であることにも注意しましょう。
→ 上記の “I wrote some important things on a piece of paper.” の
wrote 以降の部分をそのまま使えばOK！
（もちろん I は He に代えてますよ！）
ここからは、正解は
He wrote some important things on a piece of paper. となります。
②の質問に対する解説・解答
ー Why was Masaru surprised when he did his self-introduction?
【解説】
・質問文の意味は、
「優が自己紹介をした時、なぜ驚いたのですか。」
という意味です。
・「自己紹介した時に驚いた」という部分は、英語で下記のように表現されています。
”I was surprised that they knew well about the things I introduced. ”
この文の黄色い下線部が「驚いた理由」になっていて、そのまま答えとして使えそうです。
【解答】
質問文：Why was Masaru surprised when he did his self-introduction？
👉答えの文を作ろう！
① Why と聞かれているので、まず because で答えます。
→ because
② 上記の「驚いた理由」のうち
→ they knew well about the things I introduced を使います。
▶︎ they を具体的に誰のことかを示しましょう。
→ the students in the class
▶︎ I introduced の I もそのままではいけません
→ Masaru または he
ここから、正解は、
Because the students in the class knew well about things he introduced.となります。
おまけ〜問題文の訳
・去年、私はアメリカの姉妹校を訪問する機会がありました。そのとき、私はそこで自己紹介をしました。最初は全てを暗記しようとしました。しかし暗記することがたくさんあって難しすぎました。
・自己紹介で、私は自分自身と寿司、漫画や柔道のような日本のことをクラスの生徒たちに紹介しました。私は彼らが自分が紹介したものをよく知っていることにびっくりしました。自己紹介の後、彼らは私や日本についてたくさんの質問をしました。私はとても嬉しかったです。そしてそれは私にとって良い経験でした。
（２）質問に対して自分の考えを答える問題
優は、姉妹校の生徒として交流しているときに、ある生徒から次のような質問を受けました。あなたが優なら、質問に対してどのように答えますか。《条件》にしたがって、英文で書きなさい。

《条件》
・文の数は問わないが、15語以上25語以内の英語で書くこと。
・符号( , . ? ! ) は語数に含めない。
答え方のポイント
・答え方としては、
①紹介する人気のあることを１つ
を最初に取り上げます。
※ここの部分が難しいと思います。
あまり、難しい表現を使わなくてもすむようなもので
「学校で流行っているもの・こと」を英語にします。
ーそして
②その「もの・こと」の補足的情報
を加えることが必要です。
→どのように流行っているのか、行われているのか
→それによってどのような影響があるのか
→「自分」もそれに参加しているのか、楽しいのか
などを付け加えて、15語以上で25語以内に収まるようにしましょう。
※文の数の制限はないので、
無理せずに短い英文で表現して行くことも
１つの方法かもしれません。
解答例
① Karaoke is very popular among students. We enjoy singing many songs with our friends in the karaoke box. I like singing very much too. (24語)
② Many students enjoy watching Youtube videos. There are a lot of interesting videos on it. (15語)
③ Korean food is very popular among students. They are very spicy and delicious, sometimes colorful. Especially schoolgirls like “cheese dog”. (20語)
※like 〜ing や enjoy 〜ing の形がうまく使えそうですね。
ちなみに、県が公表している解答例は
下記の通りです。
Dancing is very popular and we enjoy it very much with friends after school. Some of us show our dance at school festival. (23語)
