👉今年度は「ラジオ英会話」のテーマは英文法のマスターです。
効率的で、本質的な文法を学んで「話せる」英語に近づきましょう。

👉配置転換　疑問文基礎
▶︎今回は「配置転換」。「配置転換」するときは「強い感情の高揚」があります。
それが「疑問文」の語順の基礎です。

会話の場面

・フランク・N・スタイン博士
・彼が作ったアンドロイドのジーニー (Jeannie)

状況

・怪我で入院しているスタイン博士の元にジーニーが朝食をもってきてくれましたよ。

Opening で

Onishi
▶︎ I think I’m going to cry.

David
▶︎ E? Sensei! What happened?

Roza
▶︎ Your eyes make the perfect nest for “カブト虫.”
Hey, everyone. This is Akino Roza.

David
▶︎ And I’m David Evans. Oh, my! Sensei! What big eyes you have!

Dialogue で

① Did you make that breakfast yourself? 【 yourself の意味】
👉 yourself – これは「あなた自身で」というわけですね。

② Are they to your liking?【 to one’s liking の意味】
👉さあ、to one’s liking というフレーズが出てきました。
to your liking ですね – liking というのは、「好み」です。
「あなたの好みにぴったりですか」というわけですね。

③ Humans cry when they are happy. 【 when のニュアンス】
👉さあ、ここの when – when は接続詞「〜するとき」と訳すわけですけれども、
のように「〜といった場合には」といった、「場合」という日本語に近い、そうした使い方も
あるわけです。
