▶︎リポート文は、「説明ルール」が生み出す、よく使われる形です。
会話の場面

・ライアンとシンシアが書店でばったり会いました。ライアンは、シンシアが職を変えたのを

Dialogue で
① Fancy meeting you here.【 fancy ＋動詞 ing の意味 】
👉さあ、ここで fancy ＋ 動詞 ing形 の形が出てきましたね。
驚くを表して、「オヤッ、〜するなんて」といった表現です。まとめて
覚えておきましょう。
② I like to read a good book now and then.【 now and then の意味 】
👉 now and then – これは、「かたまり」の表現ですね。
「時々、たまには」といった意味合いですね。
③ That’s new to me. 【 That’s new to me. の意味 】
👉これも、まとめて覚えてくださいね。「初耳です」という表現です。
④ Yes, it was a long dream of mine. 【 of の使い方 】
👉この of mine – of ＋名詞 は、前の表現の説明をちょこっとするときに
よく使われるのですが、「長い間の夢だった」- 誰の夢かな？-「私のですよ」
というフレーズ。そうした形をしているわけです。
