👉今年度は…
「感謝したい」「頼み事をしたい」といった、
発言のタイプ別おすすめ表現を多数学びます。
などへとゆっくり進めていきます。

◎９月は
▶︎「発言タイプ」ー【感情・行動・考え方を操作する】を勉強します。
先月に引き続き「感情操作」、そしてさらに相手の「行動」や「考え方」の
操作です。

👉行動の変更をうながす③ 態度をとがめる
▶︎ダメな態度の相手をとがめる表現を学びましょう。

会話の場面

登場人物

・日本に来ているロキシーの祖父母
(Grandpa / Grandma)

状況

・ロキシーの祖父母が、ロキシーの服装について話をしています。

Opening で

Roza
▶︎ Hey, everyone. Akino Roza here.

David
▶︎ And I’m David Evans. I always thought it was because black is slimming.

Onishi
▶︎ I’m saying I’m overweight?

David
▶︎ I would never.

Dialogue で

① No, I’m just curious about the date.【 curious のニュアンス】
👉 curious という形容詞が出てきました。これは、「知りたいと思って、
うずうずしている」そうした気持ちを表す形容詞です。

② That’s for sure. 【まとめて覚えよう That’s for sure. 】
👉 That’s for sure. という文が出てきましたね。
「それは確かだ」もうまとめて覚えておきましょう。

③ I like the way she dresses. 【 the way の説明】
👉 I like the way she dresses. という文が出てきましたね。
the way の後ろに、どういう方法なのかを説明する節が後続します。
「彼女が服を着るーやり方」というわけですね。

④ But she looks like Alice in Wonderland …【 look like の意味】
👉 looks like 「〜のように見える」定番表現ですね。

⑤ That’s enough out of you. 【 enough のニュアンス】
👉さあ、この enough の使い方。enough は「十分」と訳されますけれども、
「もう十分、もうたくさん」という感情につながりやすい単語です。

someone’s behavior. So be careful because by nature these phrases are
confrontational. So be sure it’s OK to use them when you do.

・You are being offensive.

▶︎ Let’s continue.
・Watch your manner.
・Behave yourself.
・Will you behave?
・Can’t you behave?

David
▶︎ Here’s our next.
・We need to talk about your attitude.

Roza
▶︎ And the last few.
・That is inappropriate.
・Your outfit is inappropriate.
・It’s not appropriate to wear sandals.
・You can’t do that.
・You shouldn’t do that.
