「感謝したい」「頼み事をしたい」といった、
発言のタイプ別おすすめ表現を多数学びます。
などへとゆっくり進めていきます。

実例あげて取り上げていきます。

状況

・１異星人と１人間がアメリカの飛行管制センターで極秘会議をしています。

Opening で

Roza
▶︎ Hey, everyone. Akino Roza here.

David
▶︎ And I’m David Evans. But don’t make light of him, OK?

Dialogue で

① Zaytox, thank you for attending this secret meeting.
【理由・原因を表す for】
👉 thank you for – しっかりとこの理由・原因を表す for、使いこなしていますか。

② I know you have many questions.【リポート文】
👉さあ、ここでは I know と言い切って、その後ろに節を続けるリポート文の形が
出てきましたね。しっかりと覚えておきましょう。

③ In short, we want to learn more about you.【more とは】
👉さあ、ここで we want to learn more about you というフレーズが
出てきましたね。この more – もちろんこれは much の比較級「もっとたくさん」
というわけですね。

④ In a nutshell, humans are very special beings in the universe.
【being の意味】
👉さあ、being – これは「存在」という意味で使われていますね。

Practice

▶︎ OK, guys. It’s time to practice. And I want you to do remember that
in English we emphasize the word that’s important. So keep that in mind
when you’re practicing.

David

Do you hear how I emphasized “really”? So keep that in mind, Next example.
