👉10月も引き続き、前置詞の学習です。

👉 for のイメージ「向かって」は▶︎「求めて」のニュアンスを生み出す

Opening

Roza
▶︎ Akino Roza desu.

Chris
▶︎ Chris McVay here. Guys, I just thought of the most brilliant opening,
but I forgot.

Roza
▶︎ Oh. NO!

Dialogue で

① Me too.
👉さあ、ここで Me too. という表現が出てきましたね。これはもう一息で、
一語として言えるようにならなくては困ります。頑張ってみてください。

② I wanted to get one too.
👉さあ、ここでは get one – one という単語が出てきましたね。
これは、もちろん前の発言の cap – これを何度も繰り返し言うことを
避けるために、その代わりとしてこれを用いているわけです。

③ but they’re always sold out.
👉そして、sold out というフレーズが出てきましたね。
これは「売れ切れ」というわけです。

④ The popcorn smells good.
👉これは説明型オーバーラッピングの形です。基本はbe動詞文と同じであり、
the popcorn ＝ good というわけです。でも、ここでは smell という
実質的な意味をもった動詞が使われているので、その意味が文全体にオーバーラップ
します。the popcorn ＝ good な香りがする、そんなふうな意味になっている
わけです。

⑤ I’m dying for a cola and some popcorn.
👉 dying という動詞が出てきました。テキストをお持ちの方は、dying という
見慣れない形になっていることにご注意ください。
▶︎ die「死ぬ」という単語は die – ie で終わる単語は ingをつける時に
ie を y に変えて ing となります。ご注意ください。
