👉 break は「壊す・壊れる」を表す最も一般的な動詞
Opening で
Roza
▶︎ Hey, everyone. Akino Roza here.
Chris, how many lessons have we made over the years?
Chris
▶︎ You know, I can’t remember. I’ve lost count.
Roza
▶︎ Maybe it’s time for me to do something else.
Chris
▶︎ Ummm. Chris McVay here.
Dialogue で
① I’ve lost count.
👉さあ、ここで I’ve lose count. という文が出てきました。
lose count これは「数がわからなくなる」「数えきれない」というフレーズ
です。しっかりと覚えておきましょう。
② something else besides playing rock music
👉 something else は「何か他のもの」というわけです。
👉そして、besides これは「〜以外」というわけですね。
③ play a role
👉 play a role これは「役割、あるいは役を演じる」というわけですね。
④ You mean you want to break up the band?
👉 you mean これは、「相手の真意」をただす表現ですね。
しっかりと覚えておきましょう。
