👉11月号のテーマは「時表現を極める①」。
「時表現」も「指定ルール」に従って使われます。今回は、過去形の最後です。

👉〜とうまくやっていく・良い関係にある
※ Neither can I.
👉私もできない。(私も信じられない)

Dialogue で

① post
👉これは、SNSなどへのコメントや写真の投稿のことです。
▶︎そして、on Christagram
⇨ そうして投稿活動が行われる、そのステージみたいなものが
想像される – だから on が使われている、というわけです。

② You were both smiling.
👉この both「両方とも」と意味ですが、比較的自由に文の中を
動き回ります。この位置もしっかりと頭に置いておきましょう。

③ Sure.
👉この Sure. 基本的には、Yes. という意味ですが、勢いのある表現ですね。

④ Not really.
👉否定の not と、強い単語 really とのコンビネーション。
「本当に」が否定されて、「そうでもないですよ」というわけです。

⑤ rather
👉これは、「かなり」という強調語。
very よりも、やや弱い強調語です。

⑥ Anyway,
👉そこまでの文脈を全部きれいにする – 黒板いっぱいに書かれた文字を
全部消して新しい話題を始める – そうした働きの単語です。

⑦ Interesting. ▶︎発音
👉かなり無関心な読み方をしていましたね。
こうした使い方(へえ、そうなの。)もあるわけです。

After the Dialogue

▶︎Hey, Chris. I saw a post of our textbook on Christagram.
Everyone was smiling.

Chris
▶︎Even me?

Roza
▶︎Yes! Even you!

▶︎OK, guys. Are you ready to practice the key sentence?
– I might go to karaoke with her.

Now here I want you to do something a bit little different.
I want you to lean your head to one side, this will really
emphasize the uncertainty involved here.

– I will go to karaoke…
NO! It’s “I might go to karaoke.” “I might go to karaoke with her.”

So try that with leaning your head to one side.

– I might go to karaoke with her. Try.

Umm. Some of you didn’t move your head.
Let’s try with moving your head.

– I might go to karaoke with her. Try.

That’s much better. Well done.
